See what each day looks like: road trip moments, desert landscapes, iconic towns and one unforgettable night in the Sahara.
Arrival in Marrakech
The trip starts at Marrakech International Airport (RAK), where you meet the guide and the rest of the group. You will spend the first night in Marrakech, in a hotel such as Palais Al Barjah or a similar option in the modern part of the city. It is a smooth first day to arrive, settle in and start the trip properly.
Atlas and Ait Ben Haddou
You leave Marrakech early after breakfast and head towards the desert through the Atlas Mountains. The route crosses the Tizi n'Tichka pass, with scenic stops for photos and short breaks, then continues to Ait Ben Haddou, the famous fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage site. Later in the day, the road carries on towards the Dades area for the night.
On the way to Merzouga
After breakfast, the route continues towards Merzouga via Todgha Gorge. Along the way there is time for a cultural stop, henna with Berber women and photos in traditional clothing before reaching the dunes of Erg Chebbi. From there, you enter the desert by camel, stop for sunset and arrive at the camp for dinner, music and the most special night of the trip.
Sahara and return
You wake up early for sunrise over the dunes before leaving Merzouga behind. The return route crosses desert landscapes, the Draa Valley, the Anti-Atlas and a stop at an argan cooperative before reaching Marrakech again in the evening for the final night.
End of the trip
Airport transfer and end of the trip. A short trip, but one that feels much bigger once it is over.
